Gamefinder helps board game players find open seats, join games, and keep organizers updated before and during an event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do I need an account?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yes. You need a Gamefinder account to post a game, claim a seat, manage a game, comment on a game, or receive account-based notifications. Accounts are FREE and we’ll never send you spam, sell, lease or loan your address or use it for anything other than official boardgamefinder communications. You must be 18 or over, or have parental approval, before signing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are notifications enabled automatically?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No. Email and push notifications are disabled by default. Use Notification Preferences<\/a> to enable delivery channels, set defaults for new games you create, disable all notifications, or deactivate your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do comment notifications work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you view a Gamefinder comment form, a callout shows whether email and push notifications for comments on that game are disabled or enabled. You can enable email comments and push comments separately for that game or enable them globally for your user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are new accounts approved manually?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New accounts are approved automatically so players can get started right away. Site admins review recent new accounts and may deactivate or remove accounts when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where do I find open games?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Use the Available Games<\/a> page to browse current games. You can filter by future games, open seats, games in progress, and venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I host a game?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Log in, then use Look for Players<\/a>. Enter the game, location, room or table if needed, start time, player count, play time, and notification preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I claim or release a seat?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Open a game from Available Games and choose Claim Seat. If you already have a seat, the game page lets you give it up when your plans change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who do I contact for account help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
